As you see, this is quite different from ashiatsu barefoot massage known in U.S.
This is Japanese traditional way for ashiatsu, also called 「Sokuatsu」 originally.
This technique is not from Thailand or other place.
This had been succeeded from Samurai family in Japan, Rachi（良知）-ke from generation to generation.
Sokuatsu therapists are well trained and selected by Zenjiro Rachi(良知善治朗).
Bamboo sticks are just for support of therapists.
They can deal with the skill without bamboo sticks, but these are essential tools for higher level Sokuatsu technique.
Foot pressure with wave-like rhythm and energy give more effective therapy than any other.
